Jennifer's Story
My wellness journey didn’t begin with inspiration. It began with desperation.
A botched oral surgery set off a cascade of unexpected health issues—so severe that I developed a rare allergy to the sun. I vividly remember standing on a hot beach, wrapped in a sweater, hat, and scarf, trying to shield my skin from the UV rays. Even with the sideways glances and stares, I refused to not be able to go to the beach. That moment taught me something I’d never forget: healing often begins not with answers, but with the decision to keep showing up.
But my story dosen't stop there.
Just when I thought I was climbing out of the hole, I was hit again—this time with toxic mold exposure that spiraled my health out of control. The fatigue, the reactivity, the loss of clarity and energy—it all came back stronger. I felt like I was slipping away from my life all over again.
But that second wake-up call solidified what the first one had begun: I could either give up—or get serious about learning how to fight for my body. So I did.
I began to study the body, nutrition, and the systems of healing that so many conventional care models overlook. I saw firsthand that resilience isn’t just about pushing through—it's about receiving the right kind of care. And I learned that the body can surprise you with its ability to rebuild when given the right tools, the right support, and the right hope.
We serve people who are often overlooked, stuck, or overwhelmed by chronic illness. People like me—who were told this is just how life will be now. But I believe, and I’ve seen, that while healing doesn’t always mean a cure—but it can mean more peace, better care, and renewed hope.
So wherever you are on your journey—whether you're at rock bottom, rebuilding from burnout, or just beginning to ask questions—I want you to know this:
There is a path forward. And I’d be honored to walk it with you.
Because healing starts with care. And you are so worth that care.

Heather's Story
After getting married, I moved out to California. My job in publishing was stressful, but a friend introduced me to yoga and I instantly fell in love with how it made my body feel. Teaching yoga became my passion, and I found myself in the best shape and health I had ever been, which felt so triumphant after some serious health struggles in graduate school. But right in the midst of feeling great, a spider bit me, and overnight it became a dangerous infection that needed immediate high-dose antibiotic treatment. My body reacted unpredictably to the infection and the treatment and it set off a fire storm in my immune system that resulted in painful full-body rashes and multiple allergies, including clothing (yes, really!), personal products, and food. It felt like I was allergic to LIFE! It did not go away with additional treatments, and when medical professionals couldn't find a definitive answer, they left me without a sustainable resolution and told me to take antihistamines, acid blockers, and pain medication the rest of my life.
I did not accept this as my "new normal" and I began researching and learning, driven to find ways to lessen the burden on my immune system and promote healing — even if it meant taking one small step at a time.
On my journey, I learned that healing is not instantaneous, but it can happen with time and patience and God’s grace. Meeting people, especially women, who are going through their own challenges, reminds Jennifer and I of the struggles we faced. Through our personal experiences, we now firmly believe that our bodies are meant to be cared for, no matter the outcomes. There's always hope for healing and transformation.
A transformative change is necessary in the realm of women's health
In the realm of healthcare, women's experiences can vary widely, and numerous studies have brought attention to the disparities and challenges they face.Â
