SHE Day LA, a one-day wellness event for women
SHE DAY LA 4.png

September 30th is a day we'll always remember. It was the first SHE Day!

When you create something new that's never been done before there are a lot of questions: Who will come? What will they think? What will it feel like

When we opened the gates for SHE Day that morning, we found out: passionate women came from all over. They brought 100% amazing positive energy and open minds. And THE WHOLE DAY felt Ah-MAZING!

The Groundworks Organic Coffee Truck was at SHE Day LA!

SHE Day was like drinking a quadruple espresso shot of coffee of sustainable, healthy, ethical inspiration and momentum (which is perfect since we were lucky to have Groundworks Coffee truck brewing up any drink our attendees desired that day!).

Think about how amazing you feel after spending time at the coffee shop hanging out with your friends comparing stories, sharing tips, and inspiring each other. (And drinking the coffee ; ) That's SHE Day, but even better!

We get it. It's hard to carve out time for making changes and your health: Life's coming at you a million miles a minute, there are deadlines, loved ones to take care of, the test is tomorrow, your boss needs the report, in fact, everyone needs something from you, and when you do try to make a change you are getting mixed messages from the media and every blog you read! Change can be hard! But we're in this together. And SHE Day was all about supporting women's sustainable, healthy, ethical journeys.

It is so much more fun to learn and make changes when surrounded by friends and an amazing group of like-minded, supportive women and leading experts who are passionate about the same things you are! We got to dive into simple sustainable, healthy, ethical changes T O G E T H E R wherever we were at...and drink coffee, shop amazing women-owned businesses in the marketplace, do yoga, breath in essential oils, get inspired, and so much more!

Six education sessions from industry leaders to create wellness and balance in your busy life, ethical fashion that doesn't harm your health, easy ways to shop for good, and oh so much more.

Enjoy a breakfast and lunch (and snacks!) of all the best fresh, organic foods.

Join us for a uplifting all-levels yoga class with Heather Young, E-RYT 500.

The York Manor, 4908 York Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90042

We are so excited to hold the event at the beautiful restored York Manor, easily accessible from Pasadena, Los Angeles, and the Valley. This 104-year-old restored building is the perfect, inspirational location to uplift your body & mind.

NOTE: This area has free street parking on Saturdays. Uber, Lyft, and ride shares are recommended (and more sustainable!) Join the private SHE Facebook Community: SHE Community to see if there's someone you can connect with to share a ride!

It seems impossible, but slavery is a $150 billion industry and the International Labor Organization estimates that 20.9 million people are victims of forced labor globally, trapped in jobs into which they were coerced or deceived and which they cannot leave. We can unknowingly participate in the problem with our daily purchases: the U.S. Department of Labor has identified 139 goods from 75 countries made by forced and child labor.

We truly believe that we can all find freedom in our health journeys and the lives that we create. And intentionally finding companies that are giving back and creating freedom in the lives of others is a wonderful way to bring that full circle.

We are so excited for our partners that are fighting human trafficking through their businesses including: Above Roots Shop, Purpose Jewelry, Apple Rose BeautyRebbl, and more.

check out our generous SHE DAY SPONSORS

This event simply wouldn't be possible without the support of our generous sponsors! These companies all produce amazing products, but they are also changing the world. Whether it is providing clean drinking water, fighting human trafficking or helping send children to school, they are doing good things to celebrate and we want to make sure you know them! By supporting our partners, you're helping make future SHE events possible - here is L.A. and maybe in your city!

Event Decoration Idea.jpg

We are going to try to have EVERYTHING covered for you! But here's a few things you do need to bring: a water bottle to fill up with the pure, filtered water we will have available at the event. Bring your yoga mat!

You can wear whatever will make you the most comfortable! However, we will be doing a yoga class to close the day, and a few stretching sessions throughout the day, so we highly recommend taking the pressure off finding the perfect outfit and instead pick your comfiest, most moveable yoga or workout clothes.

We love Sudara's new yoga collection, Athleta's new fair trade options, and the cozy new bamboo leggings from Thought Clothing's collection!

You won't find a better class to start your yoga journey on! This yoga flow, designed by Heather Young, a 500HR Expert Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. This yoga isn't about "beginner" or "advanced." It's about getting comfortable in your body and keeping it young and strong - and that's for everyone.
