Peppermint Mocha La La La Latte

There’s nothing quite like a peppermint latte at the holiday!

There’s nothing quite like a peppermint latte at the holiday!

You’ve hustled, bustled, shopped, and planned. You’ve nailed the office gift exchange, soaked in the chaos that is the Christmas play, and juggled a list that feels longer than well, Santa’s. We all know that couldn’t possibly be true, but girl, it was definitely long enough to earn an entire morning (or maybe the day) spent in pajamas sipping this peppermint latte!

INGREDIENTS

These candy canes, which you can get on Thrive Market if you can’t find them in your store, our our holiday favs! No Red 40 food dye or GMO sugar! That’s because they’re made with better, natural ingredients including pure peppermint oil, organic fruit juice for color, and Wholesome Fair Trade Organic Cane Sugar. They pair perfectly with this moca ;)

3 cups strong coffee (6 cups coffee using a standard coffee maker)

¼ cup unsweetened almond milk (We love the Brand New Barn!) Note: If you like a milder coffee taste use ½ cup almond milk.

3 tbsp Equal Exchange Baking Cocoa

16 drops Sweetleaf Peppermint Stevia (or sweetener of choice)

1 to 2 drops DoTerra Peppermint essential oil or Frontier Organic Peppermint Flavor

½ tbsp Artisana Organic Coconut Oil

DIRECTIONS

Pour 6 water into standard coffee maker. Add 12 tbsp coffee grounds (Note: We use almost double the coffee grounds (about 24 tbsp) to make the coffee a more espresso strong flavor. We like it bold! Adjust the ground to your taste though. We love using Cameron’s Sustainable Organic French Roast Beans.)

Once the coffee is ready, pour into blender of choice (NutriBullet, Vitamix, etc). Pour in almond milk, cocoa, stevia, peppermint oil, and coconut oil. Blend for about 20 seconds. Pour into your favorite mug and savor every sip!
